Attainable Housing

The Better Choice Measure helps alleviate the housing crisis by providing housing for San Diego’s workforce and their families. More than 60 percent of the homes will be affordably-priced for working families making around or less than the area's median income.

Homeownership has become less of a reality for hardworking families, and The Better Choice Measure, through a community covenant, will set aside 40 percent of the affordably-priced homes for teachers, firefighters, police officers and others.

In addition, 10 percent of the total housing will be affordable housing for families making 60 percent or less of the area median income.
