CALFIRE Firefighters and the Deputy Sheriffs' Association of San Diego County among other public safety experts have endorsed voting YES on B because it will create one of the most fire safe housing communities in San Diego County.

With a state-of-the-art fire protection plan that earned the approval of the County’s Fire Marshall, the Deer Springs Fire Protection District and leading fire safety experts, Yes on B has ensured the highest level of safety for current and future residents.

Voting Yes on B will create 2,135 homes, 1,331 of which will be affordably priced for San Diego’s working families. Ideally located just a few miles from Escondido, Vista and San Marcos, Yes on B has been supported by fire safety experts because it further enhances fire safety measures for surrounding communities including:

  • An unprecedented 250-foot buffer surrounding the entire community
  • $4.4 million in fire prevention funding
  • Extensive evacuation routes to help residents move quickly in the event of a wildfire
  • Funding for a new, permanent fire station and equipment
  • A fire service agreement with Deer Springs Fire Protection District

Yes on B has also been endorsed by numerous public safety groups across San Diego County including Chula Vista Police Officers Association and San Diego Police Officers Association, among many others.
